    Parkdean ranked 59th in the 'Top 250 Companies' | 16th July 2008

    Parkdean have today been ranked 59th in the North East Journal's Top 250 Companies. The Top 250 covers businesses in the private sector. They are ranked in turnover, which is considered a better indication of growth and success than profit. In 2007, Parkdean ranked number 72.

    Top 250 Companies

    The Top 250 is compiled by Durham Business School and provides an essential reference to the North East business community and is referred to on a regular basis locally, nationally and internationally. The listing is published every July and features in the annual Journal Top 250 North East Companies supplement.

    Parkdean raises over £22,600 for the Ayrshire Hospice in Charity Golf Tournament | 10th June 2008

    Bellisle Golf Course was the magnificent setting for the 21st Parkdean Charity Pro Am in aid of the Ayrshire Hospice. Forty-two teams of 3 amateurs and a professional took part in the competition with participants travelling from all over the UK.

    Following the golf, a presentation dinner, auction and grand raffle were held at Bellisle House Hotel. The auction raised the staggering sum of £6,050. Parkdean expect to present the charity with a cheque for £22,600 which brings the total amount donated to the Ayrshire Hospice in the history of the event to over £200,000!

    Graham Wilson, retired Chairman of Parkdean, presented the Eric Ridley trophy to Peter Harrison and his victorious team from Peter Harrison Business Equipment in Newcastle upon Tyne who finished on 16 under par, 126 assisted by Professional Gary McFarlane of Clober who finished with a score of 69.

    John Waterworth, Chief Executive of Parkdean, and his team finished in second place with a score of 128, third place were Pro-Com Services from Newcastle Upon Tyne with a score of 129 and fourth place went to Parkdean Scottish team with a score of 129.

    Stewart Savage of Dalmuir and Jason McCreadie of Buchanan Castle tied for the professional prize with a 4 under par score of 67.

    Investment of £17m over winter 07/08 | 1st March 2008

    Massive capital investment has been spent across the parks over the last few months, with brand new lodge and caravan accommodation at 23 parks, new owners developments, stylish new bars and restaurants, refurbished cafes, bars and entertainment venues and improved play areas.

    A huge £7m has been invested solely at Trecco Bay with brand new eating and drinking facilities, entertainment areas, reception, outdoor dining area, wet play zone, adventure golf, multi sports courts and adventure play. The new facilities have transformed the park for families and couples alike.
