    Parkdean awarded 'Best UK Holiday Park Operator' in British Travel Awards | 03 Nov 2010

    We are delighted to announce that Parkdean is officially the 'Best UK Holiday Park Operator' following the 2010 British Travel Awards.

    The awards, often referred to as the 'Oscars' of the travel industry, were held in London on 4 November 2010 and attracted over 220,000 public votes - making them the largest independent awards scheme in the UK...

    The very nature of the British Travel Awards means that votes are cast by the British public and have become sought-after and recognisable accolades within the industry.

    British Travel Awards' chief executive Lorraine Barnes Burton said: "It's the largest awards programme in the UK, created to reward travel companies, with the winning accolade being the benchmark for excellence when it comes to finding out who really is the best in the business for the UK consumer. This year, more than any, the competition was fierce and all winners are to be congratulated on their achievement."

    The national award, which follows the launch of the 2011 holiday and short breaks brochure, recognises Parkdean's commitment to provide customers with their best holiday experience and deliver brilliant customer service across all 24 UK holiday parks.

    Parkdean raises a whopping £19,644 for the Aryshire Hospice in Charity Pro-Am Golf Tournament | 15 June 2010

    Belleisle Golf Course was the magnificent setting for the twenty third Parkdean Holidays Charity Pro Am in aid of the Ayrshire Hospice. Thirty three teams of 3 amateurs and a professional took part in the competition, in fantastic sunshine, with participants travelling from all over the UK. Following the golf, a presentation dinner, auction and grand raffle were held at Fairfield House Hotel.

    Parkdean Holidays will present the charity with a cheque for £19,644. John Waterworth, Chief Executive of Parkdean Holidays, presented the Eric Ridley trophy to Graham Wilson (former Chairman of Parkdean Holidays) and his victorious team from Newcastle upon Tyne who finished on 18 under par, 124 assisted by Professional George Cowan representing Westerhope, Newcastle upon Tyne, who finished with a score of 68. J & J Wilson (Shops) Limited finished in second place also with a score of 18 under par, 124 , third place were Parkdean III with a score of 126 and fourth place went to Bishop Skinner Insurance Brokers of Newcastle upon Tyne with a score of 128. Paul Wardell of Whitekirk and George Cowan of Westerhope tied for the professional prize with a 3 under par score of 68.

    Parkdean ranked 50th in the Top 200 Companies | 15th July 2010

    PD Parks Holdings Limited (Parkdean's parent company) have been ranked 50th in the North East Journal's Top 200 Companies.

    Formerly the 'Top 250', the Top 200 covers businesses in the private sector, ranked in turnover, which is considered a better indication of growth and success than profit. Companies are placed from 1 to 200 on the basis of last publicly reported turnover.

    The Top 200 is compiled by Durham Business School and provides an essential reference to the North East business community and is referred to on a regular basis locally, nationally and internationally. Information is compiled from publicly available information, including FAME, Companies House and Dunn & Bradstreet.

    Parkdean were ranked 65th in 2009, so have moved up the listing by 15 places.
