North East Contact Centre Awards 2007, Parkdean wins North East Contact Centre of the Year under 100 seats
GE Money and Parkdean were the toast of the contact centre industry after scooping the top prizes at the North East Contact Centre Awards in Sunderland.
The awards were held at Rainton Meadows Arena on 9th November, where more than 500 guests assembled to recognise the achievements of contact centre employees across the region. A total of 10 awards were handed out on the night. Paul Buie, manager of The Tyne and Wear Development Company, a sponsor on the evening, was delighted to see new companies, Parkdean and GE Money, win the two main awards. Paul said 'Our contact centres are respected worldwide and the competition here is incredibly tough'.
The awards have quickly grown in terms of size and importance, reflecting the growth of the contact centre industry; preparations are already underway for 2008
North East Business Awards 2006, Parkdean wins Learning Training and Skills Award
Almost 800 members of the regions business community gathered at Sedgefield's Hardwick Hall to see 36 companies receive awards for being the best in the North East.
NCJ Media and Gazette Media Company Regional Managing Director, Steve Brown paid tribute to the entrants, judges and sponsors of the annual event. He said 'This year we've enjoyed record sponsorship support, four sell out dinners and most important of all, record entry levels - with more companies than ever putting themselves forward to be judged as the best in the North East.
Other awards included, Company of the Year, Small Business, Innovation, Technology, Internet and ICT, Manufacturing, Environment, Corporate Social Responsibility, Export, Services and Cultural and Creative Business
Entrepreneur of the Year 2004 and Entrepreneur of the Year 2007 – sponsored by The Times Newspaper, London Stock Exchange and Coutts and Co
John Waterworth, Chief Executive, is a finalist at this prestigious awards ceremony in both 2004 and 2007.
The Entrepreneur of the Year celebrates entrepreneurs who are building and leading successful, growing, and
dynamic businesses and recognises them through regional, national and global awards programmes in 35 countries.
The programme recognises entrepreneurial success and recognises the benefits that entrepreneurs and their
entrepreneurial spirit bring to the economy in terms of job creation and the UK's competitiveness. Judging
criteria includes growth in turnover, profit and employee numbers, as well as degree of innovation, scope of
development of creative and ingenious production, marketing and selling techniques and the extent of expansion
into national and international markets.
Tyneside and Northumberland Business Awards 2003, Parkdean Plc wins Company of the Year
Parkdean have collected a top local award in a recent ceremony held in Newcastle.
Parkdean collected the top accolade at a black tie dinner at the Marriott Gosforth Park in Newcastle on Thursday 25th March. Parkdean was selected from an entry figure approaching 350 companies. Parkdean now go on to compete for the title of North East Company of the Year in the awards grand final on 20 May.
